Stars Are Dreams
The stars remain distant and unattainable to humanity today. Nevertheless, they serve as beacons of our goals and aspirations.
Our Northern Star, the grandest dream of all, is the vision of a world where peace reigns without the need to protect people from each other. Our road signs are the highest stars, but our dreams are down to earth. Even though stars are out of our reach today, they help us determine the direction of our actions.
Illuminating the Path Home
Observing and following the paths of stars and other celestial bodies guided humanity in discovering the nature of the solar system, the Milky Way, and the universe.
On a scale more comprehensible to human nature, stars are way further than our horizons, but we can still navigate toward them and respond to obstacles that the horizon reveals on our way. Just as sailors followed the stars to navigate their way home, we, too, look to the stars as our guideposts, leading us toward brighter days and guiding us to find our way to the best future.
Stars of Destiny
Since ancient times, humans have gazed at the stars, seeking answers and guidance in their celestial dance.
In folklore and ancient traditions, stars were believed to foretell the future. While we do not seek literal predictions from the stars and limit our admiration for them to amazement with their beauty, uniqueness, and overwhelming depth of space, their brilliance still inspires us to look beyond the present toward a better tomorrow.
For us, stars are a metaphor for the unknown. The unknown is the future looming ahead, filled with endless possibilities. The stars remind us that our actions today shape the events of tomorrow.
We cannot predict the course of events that haven’t occurred yet. Still, we can envision a better future and take action to make possibly positive future events probable and, hopefully, inevitable.
Light Guiding Towards Equality
As Women of Asia, we see the stars as symbols of hope and empowerment.
By uplifting women and advocating for equality, we strive to illuminate the path towards a just and inclusive society.
Just as the stars guide us home, we aim to expedite the journey towards a world where everyone is valued and respected.
Although our actions are actual and down to earth, we like to set the bar high. In fact, we put it so high that accomplishing our work would mean we no longer have anything to do and would have to change our interests or jobs. That would mean we have arrived at our destination.
